Tools pushing, shoving and scrambling in the tool cabinet, it was time to build a dedicated shelf for the molders. It is of spruce, finely jointed, well no, just screwed, but despite I was convinced a decent bracket shape would go with the antiques. The spruce makes a fine contrast to the walnut and I think it will dominate all the new further shelves.
The woodie jointer entered the cabinet door. It'll be its final place. The saws will leave for an additional storage...
Next project is a chest of drawers, the wood should be American cherry, but I'll maybe switch to the European counterpart. Design is not clear yet, no drawings at this stage.

Hi Marc,
That plane is huge! Or is your mallet small :)
I have a Record shoulder plane that is of 1960's vintage, so it is just about at the end of the 'quality' spectrum. It serves me well, the iron holds an edge for a good time. So I won't be replacing it any time soo.
I put your link on my blog by the way... I would imagine others would find your blog as entertaining as I do.
John
Hi John,
Indeed I have two versions of this mallet. The smaller one is only two inches long ;-)
Thanks for the link, I put yours on my list too.
Marc
