45 Degree Sled for Bandsawing

Wow, second post of the day! Did I already have this? As I dive deeper in the work, it gets more and more of me, can't release. Mh, just wanted to take a look at the Speed Triple and the Ducati Superbike this week - can they wait?

On the legs, it is necessary to have a 12 cm rip cut, heavily chamfered part of the two inner edges of the leg. Those faces will get mortises and will make the joint to the foot and head rail. I thought these cuts be finely made on this gorgeous bandsaw I call my own (indeed I think it rather belongs to the dogs than to me) So I built a sled, a jig holding the legs in the right position for the saw and the later mortising.

See the pattern of the legs in the photo...

Hey Marc

Back to the shop and dreams about a fast bike.

So, maybe, we can do a bike ride together this summer ;-))
