Work calls, shoptime vanishes... One can't show brainwork in a blog. And if so, I could show you a lot of detours I made to finally debark on a modest not so elegant M/T joint. In the photo above, the mortice for the foot rail is finished - the chips of the end cuts yet stacked up in. The tenons will be fixed by drawbored pegs - one sided, so they won't show up. The peg holes be drilled on the other mortice face. Get it?

Now this won't work for the removable side rails. Brainache ahead...
